Cygnets – the fluffy five! The Corby cygnets are still being kept well out of telephoto lens range, meanwhile on a nearby water these five were happy to oblige! At barely a week old they are already ‘out and about’!
Natures gold! The Whins (Gorse bushes) are blooming around the Loch filling the air with the scent of Coconut. The flowers although used for culinary and medicinal purposes have to be used with caution as they contain small amounts of toxic alkaloids!
The Swan family 2023. They appeared out of the far rush on Monday and and are keeping to the far side of the Loch, but it looks like six Cygnets this year.
Blossom time. There are hundreds of flowering Cherry trees in the City and ….. ….. every year this particular tree grows bigger with more intense blossoms.
A hunting Kestrel. A pair of Kestrels hunt in the pastures around the Loch and are often seen along the lip of the quarry.
Spraying the crops. With the better and warmer weather the farmers are out spraying the crops. In this case a field of rapeseed.
