This ‘garden’ spider seems to thrive on insects in the panels on the boathouse door!

Whins (Gorse) everywhere.

Many of the hedgerows in the countryside are defined by the ‘golden’ whins.

Nest Box activity

Below the Nest Box location, evidence that things are happening. Half the shell of an egg that usually measures 16mm x12mm, cleaned out of the nest by the parents, from a clutch size of normally around twelve eggs.

Cherry Blossom

The last of the Cherry Blossom carpets the ground.

FROG HUNTING

A Grey Heron at Balgownie Pool patiently waiting for its meal of frogs.

CORBY LOCH FISHING

The fishing on the Loch has reverted to PRIVATE fishing, as the Balgownie Fishing Syndicate no longer operates at the Loch .

Anybody found fishing the Loch will be appropriately dealt with.

Covid 19 – as per other fishing locations the Loch is currently closed to fishing.

This years crops.

The crops sown earlier are beginning to appear in the cultivated fields.

In the garden 11.04.20.

It has been a warm late Spring/early Summer day in Aberdeen today. Most of the Spring flowers are still in bloom and the occasional butterfly has appeared. The Blue Tits have claimed the nest box for another summer.
