A strange Swan. One of last years cygnets caught at the end of a wing-stretch makes an unusual image!
Great White Egret. The Great White Egret which frequented the rush on the far side of the Loch for the last few weeks appears to have moved on.
Drying Out! With the Loch now free of ice the Cormorants have appeared – not the best sight, a bird ‘drying out’ after fishing, but at least it indicates that there is something to fish for! Smaller fish wouldn’t stand a chance against that beak!
Ice Age! Sadly this small Wren succumbed to the severe weather. The Heron was frustrated hunting for food!
SNOW! There is six inches plus of snow inland and a few inches here on the coast . Somewhere under here is the pond ……. ….and the trees at the back of the house are wearing a snow shroud.
Unseasonal In spite of night temperatures below zero and snow showers, the Patio rose refuses to accept it is winter!
